The Many Layers of the AI Agent Tech Stack

An AI agent tech stack is the internal mechanisms that power it to handle a huge range of tasks, from autonomously conducting research to managing entire workflows. This tech stack is a layered system of tools that work together to enable agents to reason, act, and adapt according to the user’s business directions. These tools fall into a few broad ranges of categories, such as memory and observation tools, AI hosting services, storage, and sandboxes. Each plays their own unique role in ensuring the AI is able to perform smoothly. For example, memory tools make sure an agent is able to retain context, so a user doesn’t have to repeatedly feed them the same information each time. 

The most important layer by far is the data that the AI agent is fed.
