Addressing Remote Workplace Needs Through Digital Workspaces

The future of remote work and events needs to shift to address the needs of online workers.  Working remotely must include community and connection now more than ever.  Almost 25% of American remote workers say their Zoom fatigue is higher than it’s ever been.  83% of employees spend up to a third of their work week in video meetings, and 55% of remote workers have more meetings now than they did when they were working in person.

Remote workers say the top contributors to digital fatigue include meetings running too long, staring at a screen for long periods, constant eye contact, seeing yourself on video all the time, and meetings that serve no purpose.  Waiting for meetings to start costs nearly 11 minutes per meeting, or more than 3 days per year.  Almost half of remote workers miss seeing their colleagues, and 14% miss the office environment.

Digittal workspaces were designed for use by Web3 communities, online event providers, and startups.  Every digital building has floors with a customizable layout and user permissions.  Individual and shared rooms offer various functionalities, and they allow owners to close and open doors so users can “knock” to enter.  Buildings offer a centralized location for online events, building a strong community online and addressing remote workplace needs.
